EU insurance cover for travel in spain 6 months

Hi everyone. i am having great difficulty getting insuance cover in the UK to take my car to spain for 6 or more months. can anyone help. Mike

    I don't know if its still the case but SAGA use to allow up to 365 days abroad. However I have not investigated and T&C's that might apply to such use. I expect most policies work on the basis that people living in the UK will only take their cars abroad
    for limited trips. Perhaps try an insurance broker or try DD's suggestion.

    I was told by SAGA this week that they have no limit on the time you spend out of the country with your car hope this helps,

    My LV policy allows upto 180 days in EU countries

    If your car is in Spain for more than 183 days you are supposed to re-register it with Spanish plates. A lot don't though.
