Touring Spain from Bilbao at Easter

Hi, We are a family of five planning our next years holiday in our motorhome. Looking into the Portmouth - Bilbao crossing then touring down to southern spain and across to Portugual over 20 days. Would love some tips off anyone who has done this before
and what's the weather like in April !!
