Ouistreham/Caen sites late arr/ early dep
Hello, I’m looking for some help.
I’ve booked the ferry (via the CC) that arrives in Ouistreham for 21:30 on 6th
August and we return on the 08:00 ferry on 29th August, for our Summer holidays in Spain – usually
go via the Tunnel but we fancy a change and are using the ferry (plus potentially avoiding any nonsense at Calais).
So, I’m looking for a site in Ouistreham/ Caen that is easy going regarding late arrivals and early departures.
We’ve previously stayed at Chateau de Martragny but they now have a min 4 night stay policy plus they close before 28th
Aug this year.
Also, previously stayed at Les Hautes Coutures but they now have a 2 night minimum stay policy and the CC have also dropped them from their listings due to H & S issues, apparently.
Camping Municipal des Pommiers looks like a potentially good choice but their website has been down now for the past 6-8 weeks.
I’ve emailed them but not yet had a response.
Does anyone know if this if they are still in business?
The reviews for Le Point du Jour don’t look great but they currently seem like our only option due to our late arrival / early departure.
Does anyone have any other recommendations?
We’ve never stayed overnight in an Aire before (3 children on board never wanted to risk it) but if anyone knows of any safe and quiet ones??
