Anyone been to Budapest?

We are planning a trip to Vienna via the Hook of Holland and plan to include a trip to Budapest as we we will probably have about 5 weeks for the tour.  We plan to leave the UK towards the end of August and come home at the end of September.  Just wondering
whether any of you have done a similar trip and have any recommendations to make? Hoping to make use of the low season camping rates but as we have never visited Hungary, just wondering whether there are any issues we need to be aware of?  Many thanks in advance.
