Towing a caravan with a day van / motorhome

Hi to all.  My name is Al (retired) and my shetland sheepdog is Skye.

Me and my dog Skye like to go caravanning frequently (100 + nights per year) to different sites / CL,s.  My wife much less frequently.

I was thinking off changing my 10 year old Discovery for a similar value Day van / Motorhome (small) with 2.5 to 3.0 ltr diesel engine.  This would suit me and Skye.

I would then use the caravan for longer breaks and when the wifw is in attendance.

Any one out there who does this.  Would Club sites / CL's accept the day van / motorhome as a 'car' or would they want to charge extra.
