Volvo XC60 R-Design Detachable Towbar

I am about to purchase a new Volvo XC60 R-Design and have requested a volvo fitted detached towbar. No problem you would think? However, Volvo does not in its brochure confirm it is Al-Ko compatible to my AKS 3004 stabiliiser on my caravan. I have asked
this to be confirmed by Volvo before buying the car. They appear to be struggling to confirm this. It all about the distance between the tow ball and the leading edge of the car bodywork. It appears the R-Design sticks out further. 

Over to you for help. Has anybody experienced this issue with Volvo fitted detachable towbar? Has anybody got a XC60 R-Design with no issues with a volvo fit detachable tow bar?
