Tips on touring in Germany

We are touring Germany in June in our Motorhome. I am happy with driving regulations and sites. However, I need advice on LEZs and Environmental Areas. The LEZs I assume are in Cities and large Towns, so shouldn't bother us to much as we keep clear of them.
But the Environmental Areas, which I understand we would need a Green Disc for. Can anyone give me advice on these issues please?
