D.V.L.A. BEWARE!!!!!

Hi. We recently got married and changed my wifes name on driving  licence no problem (surprise) Now came the log book or V5 to you newbies, simple task change of name no change of address fill in part 6 and off it goes. New log book comes back 27th oct new
name all looks good. Went away for a few days and a letter from DVLA came containing a cheque for £1.66 no explanation of this vast amount. Horror. The DVLA had cancelled the tax on my wifes car on the 27th of oct now its the 4th of november.Result my wife
had used the the car with no tax only for a few days but had plod been around.nicked.Ironey is the cheque is in her previous name.Sorted at post office but its not a good service.
