Help with heater please

Hi All. We are totally new to caravanning and wondered if someone can help with our heater. We have a Lunar Lexon EB 2000 model and when we put the heater on it blows cold air and then trips all the electric. We can get it to work fine with the gas but
when we put the electric on to blow the warm air it trips yet again. Any help is much appreciated
