Telepass with a motorhome

We are planning to go to Italy and Sardinia this year and am looking at using Telepass / Via card.
The instruction say put the unit next to the interior mirror.
Our motorhome has an overcab bed.
Will this prevent the Telepass unit being seen by the devices at the Toll booths ?
