Austria in the Winter

Good morning all, I am totally new to the community and I am launching in with a big one, on the basis in for a penny etc.etc.

I want to travel to Austria at either Christmas or Feb Half term but a) have never taken the 'van abroad and b) never camped in the snow, at least intensionally before.

All your advise well welcome.  I'm not too concerned about the abroad bit as I have tented in France but how to cope with the 'van in extream temperatures advise very welcome.
