Medical Insurance (pre-existing conditions)

I have 2 pre-existing medical conditions that I have to declare when finding foreign travel insurance. One of them is 'stable' the other refers to a major operation I had 15 months ago. I will asking Red Pennant for a quote but I know some people consider
them expensive. For me all I want is the best cover. Can anyone 'recommend', suggest any insurance company with whom they have had dealings on pre-existing insurance matters they I could try?  Many thanks.
