Alarm systems

I'm about to buy a new Xplore caravan, which doesn't have an alarm system fitted as standard.  The alarm system from Elddis is an optional extra, which I am inclined to have fitted, provided that I know it's a good one. The alarm on my old 2008 Elddis Crusader used to emit a piercing shriek when activated, load enough to hear 50 yds or more away - great.  On the other hand, the alarm in my current 2011 Coachman has the most weedy siren, you wouldn't even hear it if there's a wind blowing.

So please, Elddis owners out there, with 'alarmed' 2015 model caravans - would you rate the siren as effective?  (I live a long way from the dealer and can't easily pop in to evaluate one for myself.)
