This may be the most stupid question ever

The question is rather simple and I feel rather stupid having to ask it but here goes. My good lady and myself would like to try caravaning in France but alas we have no language skills apart from english and the odd blast of bad language when things go
wrong. Thing is I'm scared that we will find it difficult to get by and we may feel isolated.
