Looking for a stop over site beyond Lyon

Hello

We are off to Spain next month and we are looking for a stopover site on the way down. The OH wants a site just beyond Lyon he would prefer to get through Lyon before we stop for the second night, can anyone recommend any i cant seem to see anything at all??
Any advice would be great
