Summer season in France

I am looking for a seasonal pitch in France for next summer - say from April through to end September. Prefer coastal areas, reasonably far south for the weather, like to be able to walk into a village/small town, not too worried about all singing all dancing
facilities.  Has anyone any suggestions or experiences of doing this please.
