Ferry to Santander

We are sailing with Brittany ferries to Santander with our car and caravan.We dock at 4-30pm on the 20th of feb. Could any one advise me if you can stay the night on the port car park if not any safe places to stay till the next morning as we do not want to be driving to late at night.
