recently completed a Royal mail Opt Out form and much to my surprise it actually works.  I no longer get junk mail delivered by the postie. It used to be that one had to shuffle through 8 or 9 pieces of advertising in order to retrieve 1 letter.  I can recommend
it to all as it saves on filling up  thevpaper recycling bin
