Helpful votes for reviews

Recently looking for a Cl I noticed that I can only mark a review as helpful if it is one of the three most recent. If I go to all reviews I lose that facility. Why? The review that I found most helpful on this particular CL was the sixth one down.

Surely a review remains really helpful for as long as people look at it.
