If anyone drives in Spain, you will need to check out the changes that have just been implemented to traffic regulations recently.

Speeding (even 1 kph over the limit) can mean a fine of 500 Euros on the spot.  Many villages and residential areas now have a speed limit of only 20 kph and unlike the UK, there is no leeway before fines are imposed.
