Anyone any experience of 5th Wheel type caravans ?

We spend every winter in Spain and in the past have used our caravan. As we spend 4 months here we have rented a house this year but would prefer to be on a local site in the company of the many friends we have met over the years. So, we would like a vehicle with more space. Has anyone any experience of living in a 5th wheel van or other larger van as they seem to offer such a more comfortable lifestyle for long stays.
