Unsafe after 8pm - quote

I read in a review of the Lady Margaret Site at Chirk that the warden has stated to the reviewer that
"at 8 pm the site suddenly becomes very unsafe to be out on". So now we know the reason for last arrivals on the site network being 8pm, but not what it is that makes it very dangerous.

I never saw anything untoward when I ventured out to the toilet block during my stay last year, or when returning much later from various excursions.

That would be the border with England then.

I was there last week and, apart from the fact that the site isn't well lit, and there are lots of rabbits around, and also that the unlit road from the castle gates leading into the site is absolutely full of pot holes, I'm not sure why it would be deemed
any more unsafe than anywhere else.

I think it maybe down to the Dragons that live local!  One of them is my Mother in law, no one is age when she is around!

I never noticed that the road was unlit, the Xenon lights on the Discovery are very effective. In fact, is the public road also not unlit from about the railway bridge? As to pot-holes - well, can't say they affected a Land Rover either.

There can't be many sites on the Club network that have street lighting all the way from the nearest habitation.

True.  There are no street lights from as far back as the Railway Station.  As you say, not a problem with a Disco for me either but, as others have mentioned, I think the road could do with some repairs.

It was the bit about the site 'becoming unsafe after 8 pm' that sounds peculiar. Happy
