R.5 2.5 TDI TOUAREG AUTO BOX
I would just like to share this information with anybody who owns the above vehicle, i had problems with the gear shift when the auto-gear box was cold it would clunk and the vehicle would lurch backword's or forward's when reverse was selected and also
when it was put into drive, at first i thought it was the chest valve which is a well known problem on touaregs but it turned out to be a faulty wiring loom in the gear box which still cost me £462 for the repair but it was better than the £1500 + it would
have cost if it had been the chest valve i know they say auto's are better for reversing caravans but the next touareg i buy will be a manual and, a moter mover for the caravan its a lot cheaper option, these auto-gear boxs are not as cheap to repair as
a manual and are more prone to faults, it's o.k if you are a millionaire but for the ordinairy man or woman they can really dent your finances when thing's go wrong
