Pitch orientation

Just reading 53west43's post on Revolving Pitch made me wonder if anyone else, like me,  scrutinises the site plans and compass to find the 'best' pitch.  I like my nose facing west to catch the evening sun, and if we're home in the daytime it means we get
sun on the awning.  Worst of all is nose facing east - no sun on the awning and we get to watch the 'van opposite enjoying the sunset!  What are your preferences?
