Why won't they listen?

We have just been to Buxton CC Site. Very nice - until we tried to empty our waste water. The van empties near the centre. There was no way we could position the van and then lift the drain cover. We politely pointed this out to the warden, he said that
NO OTHER MOTORHOMERS HAD MENTIONED THIS PROBLEM! Can this be true? We said - why can't the sites have a "drive over drain" but he said it wouldn't be strong enough on a road !!! As there are numerous service points for caravans, surely a proper Motorhome Service
Point isn't too much to ask?
