New to travelling in France

Help!!  We are travelling to France with our caravan for the first time and may have bitten off more than we can chew!  Our intention is to travel from Caen (dock at 3pm on 7 June) to Sarlat in the Dordogne.  We hadn't realised how far it and and now realise
we will have to stop on the way.  We are using AA route finder for the route and wonder if anyone can recommend a site for us to stop at overnight within 2 hours driving of Caen as this should put our arrival at about 6pm?? We are hoping to take advantage
of camping cheques as we are travelling out of season...........any ideas?
