insurance for indefinite European travel

We are planning to tour France, Spain & Portugal for an indefinite period (over a year). We are having difficulty finding insurance & breakdown cover for our Vivaro van & caravan. If anyone has experience of long term touring in Europe, can you please recommend
insurance companies. Thanks, Jumping Judy.

Talk to Saga for motor insurance, Towergate for caravan insurance and ADAC for breakdown/recovery.  Those three should give you the full year overseas annual cover you are looking for. But read all the small print to make sure they cover what you need.

I would agree with the exception of Towergate, we use Saga for the caravan as well as the car, for an additional premium they will cover you for 365 in Europe and Morocco, + when we had a major accident in Italy this year, having to deal with only one insurer
made life a lot easier, they were also very good, from accident to payout was 6 weeks with no quibbles or hassles at all

Will some one use your home while away as insurance cover for your home is sometimes frought with "problems" on long absenses
