Collapsing the table in my Sunlight T69 motorhome

I'm feeling a bit silly asking asking but ...I cant work out how to collapse the table at the front of my motorhome. Admittedly, this will only be vital if the 14y/o actually decides he wants to join us again and there is a need for the front bed but still
...

The table sits (is fixed)on a pole that is rivetted to the floor. it seems to have two sections that should collapse down and, indeed, there is a lever that can be up, down or (even) to the side. But none of these positions seem to make any difference. I
havent been able to find any guidance on the internet. I am going to ask the dealer but thought I might feel a little less embarrassed asking here first.

Any ideas?
