R.A.C. Breakdown Cover.

Hi Folks, i am heading to France in July and wondered about the breakdown cover on my car, i am getting a new VW in March and believe that the cover extends to France and the rest of Europe. Knowing that i am okay for help if the car breaks down, would they
still assist me if i had a flat tyre on the caravan, as i have a back problem that prohibits me doing this myself?? I know i can buy extra cover from red pennant or someone else but they all seem very expensive! Or would the RAC still assist and just charge
for the extra service?? Appreciate all your views, Thank-you.
