When is a Towcar not a Towcar?

... when it is on the short list for towcar of the year.

Turning to the "aspirational" back page first (as you do) my eye was immediately taken by the Jaguar XF.

Folks, fellow CT members,  it has a noseweight limit of 75kg! I was apoplectic so started another thread. I mean, is this a joke? One of the more expensive and heavier cars with a noseweight capability which is best in class for towing rubbish trailers to
your local tip but as much use as a chocolate teapot for any decent sized van.

Apparently the noseweight is "good for this type of car" which presumably is journalist speak for "this is a luxury saloon car so don't even think of towing your matching, posh, top of the range, caravan with it".
