Bulkhead Gas Regulators

I have tried to research this topic without much success so would welcome any constructive and knowledgeable comments.
- Are bulkhead regulators required for NCC type approval? I believe EN 1949 allows both bulkhead or bottle mounted regulator?
- If caravans are now required to have fixed regulators would it invalidate any warranty or insurance if changing to a bottle regulator.
- The bulkhead regulator is designed to produce 30 mbar pressure whereas Butane regulators are 29 mbar and Propane 37 mbar. I believe gas appliances are designed to work between 29 and 37 mbar as used throughout continental Europe?
- Butane has a higher calorific value by volume (33.8) than Propane (25.9) so I presume the different pressures on the old regulators compensated for the difference in calorific value so the heat produced by the appliance was the same. How does this work
if appliances are optimised for 30 mbar and can work on Butane or Propane? - Lastly, can anybody tell me what the advantage, if any, is of bulkhead regulators?
