Gorgeous weather in Italian Lake District

Bought the motorhome this year as it offered greater mobility than a caravan and here we are - stuck in one place again. About 1 mile from Cannobio, Lake Maggiore, blue sky, temp. up to 28 deg., forecast, 28,28,28..... camped in what used to be botanical
gardens. You get the picture.

From Calais two days to Locarno so if you really dash, it will still be 28 when you get here.

Ah, the joys of Motorhoming.

    Yes. Paradise!

We walk into Cannobio every day and have coffee by the lake. Is there anywhere else as beautiful?

We first stayed there in 1990 in a tent with Eurocamp and have been back twice with the van. It is a lovely place and we have quite a few memories as it was our first foreign touring holiday and the last with our youngest daughter before secondary school.
My wife only mentioned it last week and we laughed at the site of the lady cutting the grass verges with a scythe!

On our last visit we were on the way home after nearly three weeks on Garda and my meal of pasta with lake fish was the best I had for the whole holiday. It is a special place.

According to my mate it's 40 on the Costa Blanca atm. Hope it cools down just a little bit before I get there. 28 will do nicely.

Lovely day here in the English Lake District. A little light torrential rain this morning and a gentle stiff breeze this afternoon. The heat has gone from the sun now but it's still pleasantly warm as the boiler kicks in.Looking forward to an evening stroll
by the lake in wellies and waterproofs.

It's very warm still here, in the Ardeche region of France, except early morning like now, when there is a distinct chill in the air.  Yesterday was around thirty degrees, with just constant blue sky.  Today the sky is already blue, there s no breeze, and
it looks like it will be a repeat of yesterday.

Never, ever thought I would say it but I was glad of a day's rain here in Burgundy the other day as a respite from the intense heat.

Looking at the weather reports from around Europe its pretty warm and sunny all round. Its certainly warm and humid here in sunny Bedfordshire. I hear temperatures in Spain have been hitting 40C plus regularly this year.

It's 26°C at Porlezza on Lake Lugano at the moment.  Fabulous scenery, lake swimming and a very warm welcome at Camping Darma (ACSI site for 17 euros)

Did a double take-thought you said Camping DRAMA!!! Had lots of those, one memorable one on the way out of Porlezza before they finished the tunnel.
