French markets - a good guide

I know lots of us love looking around French markets.

It can be hard to find out the days when markets are held in the locality you're staying, and if there is a list in the campsite reception it's often only the largest local markets or the most 'touristy'. A good guide is a book called 'Tarragon and Truffles'
by Anne Gregg, available at the moment from Amazon from just £2.99.

It has sections for each 'Department' of France, with details of what the author considers the best markets in the area (I don't always agree) but in the back of each section is a list of all the markets alphabetically. I've gone through ours and highlighted
each 'day' with a particular colour, so that I can quickly locate all the Thursday markets, for example.

It's definitely worth buying as a copy to keep in the caravan if you holiday regularly in France.
