We are thinking of visiting Vichy later this week. There are several sites including two ACSI sites of which Beaux Rivages seems the best. Has anybody stayed there and what is the walk like into Vichy town?

We've stayed there - it's an easy enough, flat walk.  Into town along the riverside, through a 'footpath', then across the bridge.  After crossing the bridge you then turn left into the arboretum and walk through the lovely labelled trees and flowerbeds,
which are absolutely delightful with some lovely buildings and walkways.

When we were there the International Power Boat Championships were taking place on the river, which made for added interest.

Vichy, famous for treachery and mints! We visited there in 2005, and very pleasant it was. We had a riverside pitch at Beau Rivage for 14.50€ a night. The town is an easy walk over the bridge, and there's a Le Clerq just down the road.
