The Euro exchange rate against the pound hit a ten year low yesterday afternoon, and for a few minutes was over 1.35 to the pound. It stabilised at just under 1.35 and this is a ten year low against the pound.
If means at that exchange rate it makes a 10 euro ACSI Card site just £7.40, a 16 euro site just £11.85, and a cheap refill of wine at our favourite 'barrel' will now cost just 74 pence. If someone from Britain buys our friend's house in France which is for sale at €139.000 it means they will be saving almost £9,000 on the asking price when he put it up for sale in November.
Or you could buy this Maison de Maitre, about forty five minutes from the Mediterranean, for just £56,955 !
