There's no fool like an old fool?
You know TW may have been right all along, and I might have acted like an "Old Fool" for a while over my abandonment of my user name!
Last Tuesday I went to the Caravan show and visited the CC stand where after a while I found myself talking to one of the very senior staff. She questioned me on why as a CT member I chose to hide behind my user name and why I didn't have the confidence to use my own name. That rang a Bell with me and indeed I could not for the life of me think why I should hide behind a user name. I have a very strong ethic, and will not do anything which I do not believe to be right. So why hide? I resolved henceforth to use my real name.
To his credit TW challenged me, and I refuted his concern that that might lead to burglary etc, or so I thought. But I was not seeing the wood for the trees! The term "Security" covers many facets
For today there is a much greater threat & risk to our security, That of Cyber theft or theft of our identity! And indeed I was putting myself at greater risk of that. So I will revert to tigerfish immediately, and already have taken certain steps to block any attempts to take advantage.
So perhaps there is still mileage in that old saying "There's no fool like an old fool"!
