Least favourite site in Europe
There are countless site recommendations on this forum and its excellent that members can pass on their good experiences for the benefit of others. On the other hand there are few "avoid" posts. Perhaps people who find sites they don't like just prefer to
forget the experience and focus on the positive. Unfortunately, I have this thing about travel reports never telling you what you really want to know.
Tha Alan Rogers guides used to pick excellent sites that had a certain ambiance or atmosphere which you cannot define by a marking system. What about the sites that have the opposite?
I am going to start the ball rolling by mentioning a well regarded site in the Med. called Les Pêcheurs near Frèjus. Yes, it has a great pool (if that's your thing), yes the staff are friendly and, yes, it has an attractive village nearby. On the other hand
it has not enough shade, it is dusty in hot weather, it has mainly static cabins and has NO ambiance. Also, who wants a 20 min walk to the town when it is 35 degrees? Hey, that's just my opinion and many Brits. there seemed to enjoy it.
So what are your least favourite sites?
