Euro tunnel supplementary charge

After 5 and a half weeks away we had a day in hand so decided to travel back one day early, same time, on the Tunnel. Being lazy we didn't bother to phone the Club to change the booking; wasn't sure if we would be kept waiting on the mobile etc. so we just
turned up 24 hours early (same time slot). We had to pay 36 Euros supplement for the privilege even though it was very quiet.

Last year we changed our booking three times with DFDS, then turned up on the wrong day (long story). No extra charge.

We prefer the Tunnel but I just wish there was a consistent and published policy by the various operators about charges for changes etc.
