First time abroad

i am planning taking my family to Spain in July just because we like sun and want to go bananas. we have has our Sterling eccles since September 2014 and have done several trips already and love it so much we can't wait to go abroad in it. I must admit
I am a bit nervous hearing about tolls and the sheer distance, though it excites me at the same time. Can anyone give a novice any advice- is parking allowed at motorway services? Are there plenty? How much distance dare I cover in one day?
