Where to visit in Spain - suggestions required

We are getting the ferry to Zeebrugge at the end of April. We will take a week or so travelling through France longer if the weather is good. We are looking at going to Spain for around 3 weeks of the 6 weeks we will be away. Not thinking of heading to far
South (will do that in September) our first stop will be the Bay of Roses, we stayed there many years ago and want to see how its changed. After that we would like to see Barcelona as we've never been thereSurprised what/where
else would CT members recommend we see and do. We don't want to spend lots of time on the beach. In France we do like sightseeing, the old towns etc. we like riding our bikes in nice surroundings and are not averse to travelling inland if its got something
nice to see. With the wealth of knowledge CT'ers have I'm sure we will get lots of ideas. Many thanks.
