Winter sites in south of France

After returning from a short break in sunny Greece, the gloom of the British autumn has got us down a bit. So we're thinking for next year it might be nice to spend a month or so in southern France - possibly Provence, the Languedoc or maybe on the Med coast
near Montpellier. Any suggestions for sites open in November - December? We like municipals and similar low-key sites on the outskirts of villages / towns rather than ones with pools, restaurants and "activities".
