Black bits in the toilet flush!

Hi Guys,

During our first trip out this year the electronic flush stopped working (Thetford).  After investigation I found that the fuse in the cassette toilet holder was blown (I replaced it) and the flush still did not work.  I them managed to "google" for a solution
and found that if I removed the area where the "blue" flush button is located there is a pump.  I found the pump and discovered that the little motor was "jammed".  I managed to move the motor by forcing a screwdriver to move it.  Tested the motor and it worked
for the remained of the holiday. 

Now what I found (as previously mentioned) when I pressed the flush button lots of "black bits" started to come into the toilet bowl. 

So my question is "How do I eradicate the black bits?"  Is there a solvent/solution that dissolves it?
