Route from France to Spain over Pyrenees??

Good morning everyone!

I have received the following question from a fellow member:

I plan to travel from Calais to Benidorm in early April.

What is the best route to take between France and Spain over the Pyrenees? I am very worried about the weather and what happens if it snows? I would really appreciate some help and advice

Once again, this is an area that I have not been to, so I really can't advise about the best route!

Any advice would be most welcome!
