2016 booking questions

I am in the process of planning my crossings for next year (May/June) and am in something of a quandary as to whether to stick with my usual practice of using the tunnel (Tesco vouchers & dog) or, given the ongoing situation with cancellations, whether to
try the Portsmouth-Caen crossing.

1. What sort of experiences or views do other members have of the tunnel?  We had no problems in June of this year but know that we just missed the worst.

2. Has anyone taken a dog on the P/C crossing? If so, what was the experience like? What are the rules about visiting and exercising the dog during the crossing?
