Fiat Ducato and snow!

In the not too distant future, we may well take the motorhome to a ski village in Germany, and I am interested in others' views (and experience) as to how the Ducato would cope with snowy conditions. To save well-intentioned members time and effort, I should
point out that we lived there for 25 years and know  about winter tyres/Police rules/insurance etc, but this was only with the car. I just want to know how a motorhome would fare. Yes, we would have the weight on the road, and it is a front-wheel drive, but
is that enough to avoid sliding about without the expense of winter tyres?
