Limits on credit card points

The credit bonus points have been a good incentive to save and book site nights and have prooven to be a big plus to most club members. However, it is evident that the powers at be within the club have found that its not too good for the club. This being
so that site night points were increased to get  free night then site night points were restricted to only 5 free nights.

The members can only reflect on this by changing mid year or after the free 5 night limit has been reached and swapping to a more worthy points saving credit card. Its a petty for this short sighted veiw or is there a valid reason for the limitations??
