No access to LPG if pitched on a slope
I have recently taken delivery of a brand new Dunster House Concordia Serenity. The first week with the van parked on my drive revealed many faults incuding a leaking roof but these are not the subject of this discussion. On pitching for our first holiday
in North Wales came the discovery that once levelled it was not possible to open the front locker due to the locker door fouling both the jockey wheel post and the handbrake. After much manouvering a position was found where access to the LPG was possible
though this left the van tilting slightly to the rear. I took the matter up with Dunster House to be told "For the levelling of the caravan, our caravans are designed to be used on a level pitch and we cannot change the design of the caravan to alter
this. The design is as you have bought and you will need to remedy this issue with your site manager or by using items such as ramps to level the van."
I would be interested to hear if other Concordia owners (or owners of other makes) have encountered this problem and views on whether the design is sufficently flawed for Dunster House to be required to make a change (the issue I see is if you have no option
but to pitch with the caravan's nose lowered then access to turn off the LPG in the event of an emergency would not be possible).
