So who has got a story to tell?

They say everyone has a book in them, so I wondered if anyone is/has/or is planning to write a novel?

I love writing. It's one of my hobbies. It started with a bit of freelance journalism a few years ago where I managed to get features published in a few magazines. I've witten a few short stories (none of which are particularly good unfortunately!!) and
I would love to write a book one day.  They say practice makes perfect so I will keep typing away in my spare time! 

Are there any storytellers out there who have any advice or can share their writing experience?
