SsangYong Kyron - Is it reliable?

After spending £4500 on mechanical repairs on our 2008 VW Passat estate, more faults just keep coming so we have decided to cut our losses and change it for something else!  We need something big enough with the back seats down to comfortably fit 4 Greyhounds, be strong enough to potentially tow a 1600kg caravan (not yet bought one that heavy) It has to be reliable after spending more time in a garage than at home and it also to be fairly economical!  We have just seen on Autotrader website a SsangYong Kyron which seems to sound pretty good but we wanted to hear any honest reviews from owners or former owners.
