Towing through Chartres

Every year when travelling to and from the south of France we go via the N154 and use the ring road around Chartres, has anyone any experience of towing straight through the middle of Chartres, it looks ok when checking it out on Google Earth and with Michelin
maps and it would save a lot of time. Any help would be welcome.
